- Nomis is looking for a DevSecOps engineer over 5+ years of experience to join our infrastructure team. This person will ensure that security is seamlessly integrated into every stage of the software development lifecycle at Nomis. They will build architecture, automation, documentation, and processes that enforce a consistent security approach across all of Nomis’ products and infrastructure.
- As a DevSecOps engineer at Nomis, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Consult with our CISO on high-level security objectives and drive their technical implementation.
- Create architecture patterns and automation in AWS that ensure secure delivery of our products.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to enable a “shift-left” approach to security. This includes building tools for scanning/testing during development.
- Continuously stay abreast of new technology trends, security threats, and regulatory changes.
- Create a and document processes that define consistent approaches to security and threat remediation at Nomis.
- The following skills will be necessary for success in this role.
- An excellent understanding of AWS infrastructure, networking, and the common security tooling and patterns applied.
- Experience with image hardening for both containers and EC2 instances.
- Experience with Python for infrastructure automation and scripting.
- Familiarity with common security patterns for both relational and non-relational databases.
- Security certifications preferred but not required.
- Experience with SOC 2 audits.
