Head of AI Enablement
Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are hiring the first dedicated leader for AI adoption across the business. As founding head of the new AI Center of Excellence for one of our portfolio companies, you will make the company itself run better through AI, in how it implements, supports and operates its products. This is a delivery role, not a strategy‑deck role: you will find the opportunities, ship them, run them, and build the small, sharp team that scales them. In year one, you will earn the trust of the teams you serve, harden the AI applications already built, and land adoption wins the business can feel.
Key Responsibilities
AI Adoption & Internal Applications
- Drive AI adoption across the business: find where AI makes teams measurably more effective, including Professional Services (application implementation) and Support (context engineering, process optimization), and deploy it.
- Build and run internal AI applications: such as the Zendesk‑based support AI agent and LLM interfaces to the customer data warehouse, in partnership with the business owners who use them and with Cloud Operations.
AI Architecture & Augmentation
- Lead augmentation projects: run knowledge and architecture reviews that enable AI functionality and data in core applications, such as regulatory‑change content pipelines and agentic data augmentation through context and MCP.
- Own the common AI architecture and best practices: build shared patterns across SAI360 rather than a thousand disconnected solutions.
- Track new models and techniques: adopt what matters and kill what doesn’t.
Business Partnership & Team Leadership
- Act as a business partner to the teams you serve: report periodically on adoption progress, plan and run enhancement sprints, and explain trade‑offs and outcomes in plain language.
- Build and coach the founding team: grow a small, sharp team that scales AI delivery.
- Set the engineering and AI‑quality bar: evals, guardrails, and monitoring fit for a compliance‑grade business.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Must‑Have (Hands‑on)
- Real AI/ML depth beyond calling LLM APIs: you have built and evaluated production AI systems and can reason about model behavior, evaluation, fine‑tuning trade‑offs, and failure modes from work you have actually shipped.
- A track record of putting AI to work in business processes and operations, with efficiency outcomes you can name and measure.
- Hands‑on fluency across the applied‑AI toolbox: LLMs, classifiers, embeddings and retrieval, rerankers, agents, tools (MCP), agent harnesses, graph engineering, and multi‑agent AI teams, with context engineering, structured outputs, and evals that tie unstructured, chat‑based outputs to business outcomes.
- Experience building or leading a small engineering team as a player‑coach.
- An adoption mindset: you measure success by usage and outcomes, not demos.
- Strong communication in English: you can align department leaders and executives across time zones, translate between business problems and technical solutions, and explain complex AI concepts clearly to different audiences.
- Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment: building strong relationships across product, data, engineering, and business units, and managing competing priorities so AI initiatives support business goals.
- Coaching and enablement: helping teams build confidence using AI tools through training, guidance, and hands‑on support.
Secondary Skills
- Experience standing up an AI practice, platform team, or center of excellence.
- Experience with service and support tooling (Zendesk or similar) or professional‑services delivery.
- GCP, Vertex AI, and cloud data warehousing.
- A machine‑learning or deep‑learning background, with instincts for what models can and can’t do and how to evaluate them.
- Experience in GRC or another regulated domain.
Education / Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Work Mode
Hybrid — This role adheres to the organization’s hybrid work policy, requiring presence at the office on three designated days per week.
