Role Overview

STG Labs is looking for a Reporting and Power BI Analyst to join its software development team, designing, developing, optimizing and testing reporting solutions for the portfolio of SaaS‑based products. You will work in a fast‑paced Agile environment alongside Product Owners, QA Engineers, UI/UX Designers and Technical Writers.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards: interactive dashboards and reports, including drill‑through and performance‑optimized visuals.
• Develop standard reporting packages: build and manage them, with the ability to customize them for client‑specific implementations.
• Translate business requirements: turn them into technical specifications, data models and scalable reporting solutions.

Data Modeling, SQL & ETL

• Write and optimize SQL: complex queries, views and stored procedures that support reporting and analytics.
• Design data models and ETL processes: keep data accurate, consistent and performant.
• Resolve data issues proactively: identify and fix data quality, performance and integrity problems.

Performance, Support & Documentation

• Tune performance end to end: across Power BI (DAX, visuals, DirectQuery) and the database layers.
• Provide ongoing support: troubleshooting, enhancements and report optimization.
• Maintain documentation: functional and technical documentation for all reporting solutions.

Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Deliver within an Agile team: high‑quality reporting solutions within defined timelines.
• Partner with stakeholders: continuously improve reporting capabilities and user experience.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must‑Have (Hands‑on)

• 3–5 years of experience in BI, Power BI and data modeling.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, data modeling and Power BI Service.
• 3+ years of SQL experience (PostgreSQL/SQL Server), with strong expertise in query optimization and view creation (including complex joins, CTEs and materialized views).
• Strong understanding of performance tuning for both database queries and Power BI reports, especially with large datasets and DirectQuery scenarios.
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to translate business requirements into efficient data structures, views and reporting logic.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
• Hands‑on experience in Agile development environments, with active participation in Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups and retrospectives.

Secondary Skills

• Good understanding of data architecture and scalable reporting design.
• Familiarity with SaaS‑based product environments.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.

Education / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

Work Mode

Hybrid — This role adheres to the organization’s hybrid work policy, requiring presence at the office on three designated days per week.
